On-Going Opportunities throughout the year

Art in the Classroom
Volunteers are provided materials to share a pre-selected work of art and facilitate a related art project in the classroom. No art background is required. Sign up with your child’s classroom teacher or using the volunteer sign up sheet.

Cultural Arts
Assist in scheduling cultural arts events and field trips for each grade and entire school.

Dolphin Dash
Weekly event for Northside students to have fun running laps to earn tokens. Takes place during fall and spring once per week on Wednesday as weather permits.

Literacy Support
Partner with the school to support our new reading curriculum and foster a love of reading for all Northside students.

Staff Appreciation
Volunteers help with monthly activities to show appreciation for Northside Staff. Events include luncheons and Staff Appreciation Week.

Yearbook
Volunteers are needed to take pictures at various event throughout the school year, and with distribution and administrative duties.

Book Fair
We typically hold a fall and spring bookfair each year in the Northside library, and are always looking for volunteers to help set up and run the fair...we hope to see you there! Tentitive dates for the fairs this year: Nov 9-17 (Fall), March 12-15 (Spring)

Run.Walk.Move!
Annual fall fun run for students at Northside. All students receive t-shirts and are cheered on for getting active – running, walking, or just moving in any way they can to promote health and wellness and raise additional funds for the school. Scheduled for September 27, 2024.

Share Fair
An annual event in the spring, where where students prepare an exhibit to showcase a personal interest. Scheduled for April 16, 2025.

Trunk or Treat
All school family fun night in October. Families have the opportunity to Trunk Or Treat around all the trunks. Volunteers are needed to decorate trunks as well as help coordinate. Scheduled for October 22, 2024.

Plant Sale
Annual plant sale to raise funds for the PTO - PTO volunteers help grow a variety plants.

Communications
Volunteers work to keep you in the know by preparing newsletters, posting on Facebook and updating the PTO website.

Assist with administration of online school supply kit ordering.
